I’ve teamed up with Standard Life to host and participate in three pub quiz events across the UK. The first event took place at the New Inn pub in London, called ‘The Prosperous Arms’ for one night only. We had a fantastic turn out and I even got behind the bar to pull pints!
We are hosting these events to have some fun, but more importantly, to talk to people about their plans for the future and open up the conversation about the upcoming changes to pensions.
I often get told by people that they find numbers ‘scary’ or they ‘can’t do maths’; but there are some sums that we all need to do when it comes to our finances – including our pensions.
Last year my new year’s resolution was to learn to ski. I finally hit the slopes 2 weeks ago! This year I’m determined to get a head start on the resolution front and start with making sure I’ve got it all covered when it comes to my finances. These events for Standard Life are a great opportunity to learn more and start making some important decisions about future plans.
Next Wednesday 28th January we’re in Birmingham and then up to Edinburgh on Thursday 29th January. Tickets are FREE and still available, you can book your quiz place at www.standardlife.co.uk
On the website you’ll also find loads of information and tips to support you through the pension changes coming on 6th April. There’s also more info on this blog and there’s a dedicated section of Standard Life’s website to help.
See you in Birmingham or Edinburgh soon!
This blog and any responses to comments are not financial advice. A pension is an investment. Its value can go up and down and it may be worth less than you paid in.
